The happiness of a married life is not in direct correlation with how gorgeous a wedding is. Older generations usually had much simpler wedding arrangements – or no wedding celebrations at all -- but we cannot say they were any less happy. When my grandparents decided to marry, they simply went to their local town hall and walked out ten minutes later as husband and wife. They were a happy couple that spent all their lives together in love and mutual respect. And this is what counts, actually!
