It's hard not to fall in love with Capri – unless you are a day tourist following the crowd of fellow travelers who only have a few hours to explore the island. But once you stay there for at least a few days, it starts growing on you like a tree. Its roots entangle your heart, creating an everlasting love for this enchanting place and a perpetual desire to return.
This is what happened to me many years ago. I became addicted to this island's beauty, unspoiled nature, incredibly blue water, tasty lemons, delicious food, rich history, and, most importantly, its people.
I want everyone to visit and share my joy and that incredible feeling of discovering something unique and beautiful. And yes, there is the celebrity aspect, a ton of glamour, and a vibrant nightlife – for those who want it. But if you seek some quiet time, dissolving your soul in nature, you can find that too!
Getting married here is a great way to combine both. If you are considering a destination wedding in Capri, get in touch, and I will jump at the occasion! In fact, I am planning our wedding anniversary there in a few months to share my love of the place with my family and friends.
In the meantime, I would like to share a few details of my past events there. One glamorous, another relaxed, both infinitely beautiful and meaningful. Which one would you prefer?
As you would imagine, a destination wedding is a multi-day event. It might include a series of activities for your guests: a boat ride, a shopping spree, a hiking trail, a day by the beach, and, of course, a Welcome Party.
My couples offered their guests all of the above. Here are a few highlight pictures.
Sandra and Jacob had their Welcome Party at La Zagara by the pool. It was a relaxing gathering filled with fun and laughter.
S. and A. invited their guests to the local pizzeria, Aumm Aumm, and enjoyed some pizza-making experience.
Considering the long and important wedding day, both couples concluded their evenings early, while the guests stayed late and continued celebrating.
The wedding day started with getting ready:
One of the most emotional moments of the wedding is the First Look. More and more couples opt for this. The First Look of Sandra and Jacob took place at Villa San Michele, built by the famous doctor and writer Axel Munthe. The place had a special meaning for them as Jacob was a descendant of this illustrious doctor.
The First Look of S. & A. took place on the terrace of the exquisite hotel Caesar Augustus.
Having a ceremony in Capri is a unique opportunity to enjoy incredible sea and nature views.
S. and A. arrived by vintage car. Jacob just walked with his friends, while Sandra used the typical Caprese baggy.
Sandra and Jacob's ceremony took place on Villa San Michele's terrace. The couple opted for a simple setting, with no flowers beside the bouquets: the surrounding nature was a gorgeous backdrop.
S. and A. picked a different setting, La Canzone Del Mare, with a fantastic view of Faraglioni, a symbol of Capri. For the setup, the talented Domenico Ruggiero of Capri Flor created a unique "Wave" of blue, deep blue, and white flowers, blending with Mediterranean waters.
Vittorio Abbate, the local live painter, depicted it in its watercolor painting.
After the ceremony, the couple went for a relaxing boat ride around Faraglioni, sharing a few kisses, according to the local tradition, and sporting sunglasses made by the local artisan, Cimmino Lab.
Sandra, Jacob, and their guests enjoyed a Prosecco tower and delicious aperitivo offerings by Capri Pasta.
The wedding reception followed on the upper terrace, with live entertainment by DJ Fabio Vuoto, fresh local food, an open bar, bistro lights, cake cutting, and dancing. Flowers in Capri provided the flowers and candles.
After midnight, the party continued in the Lanterna Verde disco bar.
S. and A. had a glamorous dinner setting at the sea-view restaurant at Caesar Augustus. The florals, reflective of typical bright caprese colors, were by Capri Flor.
The bespoke cake was created by the pastry chef Iervolino Nero and carefully delivered from Ischia.
The gorgeous bride changed her outfit to reflect the upcoming party vibe.
The party continued at the famous Taverna Anema e Core in Capri.
These happy celebrations created rich and lasting memories for my couples and their guests – and, of course, for me 😊
I am infinitely grateful to my team of incredibly talented and trustworthy vendors, who helped me create these weddings – and, of course, to my beloved couples, who trusted me, planned with me, shared their happy moments with me, and let me be a part of their family history.
